CBS All Access appears to have high hopes for their upcoming ‘Star Trek’ series ‘Star Trek: Picard’ as they have now officially renewed the series for a second season, over a month ahead of its debut.

Their faith in the series likely isn’t unfounded given how much excitement the series has already generated from fans and ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ was also granted an early renewal from the onset. ‘Star Trek: Picard’ will see Patrick Steward reprising his infamous role from ‘The Next Generation’ and will premiere on CBS All Access on January 23, 2020.
