With the sophomore season finale of ‘Mayans M.C.’ set to air this Tuesday, FX has now officially renewed the popular series for a third season while also confirming that Elgin James will take over as sole showrunner in season three.
While the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ spinoff series created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James has continued to pull in solid numbers week after week, there was always a mild concern in the air about a renewal, especially with all of the recent behind the scenes drama unfolding including the firing of Kurt Sutter, the co-creator and co-showrunner (and the creator of the overall universe in Sons of Anarchy), even though Sutter had previously confirmed stepping back in season three months prior.
Fortunately for fellow fans of the series, it looks like FX still has faith in the show, and it will indeed be returning for season three which is expected to hopefully debut in the fall of 2020 on FX.
Are you excited that ‘Mayans M.C.’ will be returning for another season and will you be tuning into the season two finale tomorrow night on FX? Be sure to sound off in the comments with your thoughts!
