A double dose of good news today for fans of the ABC sitcom ‘Black-ish’ as the network has officially renewed the series for season 6, while additionally ordering the Rainbow spinoff series ‘Mixed-ish’.

The renewal for season 6 of ‘Black-ish’ isn’t a surprise considering the show has been a steady provider of solid ratings for ABC year after year, and it looks like ABC is hoping to further cash in on the franchise (which has already yielded one spin-off series ‘Grown-ish’ although that one airs on sister channel Freeform) officially ordering to series ‘Mixed-ish’ which will focus on Rainbow’s early days, growing up in the 80’s.
