Synopsis:

This season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his home town of Elk Grove. There, he confronts Ruby, only to find that she too is now a victim of evil and in need of Ash’s help. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance to give them a chance of success as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.

The second season of ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ picks up following the blood soaked events at the cabin in season one, with Ash and his new team now enjoying some alcohol fueled relaxation following Ash’s agreed upon bargain, only to quickly find themselves with Ruby attempting to enlist their help following some unforeseen events with her “children”. Returning to his home town of Elk Grove, Ash will not only be forced to once again tackle evil forces constantly trying to kill him and everyone he loves, he’ll now additionally have to confront his dad who believes him a murderer, along with the rest of the town wherein he’s best known by the nickname Ashy Slashy. One thing though remains certain; it’s going to get a whole lot worse before it gets any better, but what else is new?

The sophomore season of ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ truly ups the ante in nearly every possible way, in addition to further connecting Ash’s world and even bringing back some familiar faces and concepts from the franchise. Managing to excel the goofiness and the gore drenched carnage tenfold, the second season of this continually wonderful Starz Original Series may have a few mild moments that don’t land quite as well as intended, but as a whole it offers a consistently wild, hilarious and ridiculously enjoyable, blood drenched ride that fans and gore-hounds will likely want to take more than once. Any of the fellow fans that enjoy this splendidly gory and hilarious series even half as much as myself will probably want to make sure to grab a copy of ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead: Season Two’ on Blu-ray in order to have the ability to enjoy any and every episode in the largely fantastic second season at any time and in top notch quality. Sporting impressive high definition video and audio presentations on all ten episodes, along with some fun extras including ‘Audio Commentary tracks with various members of the cast and crew’ for 6 of the episodes, plus more (more detailed information regarding the bonus content can be found in the special features section of the technical specification coverage below) it should altogether make this release a definite must own for the majority of fans.
