Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced and detailed their home entertainment releases of ‘Live By Night’ starring and directed by Ben Affleck. The film will arrive home early on Digital HD beginning March 7, followed by the Blu-ray and DVD releases on March 21, 2017. A Ben Affleck Collection will also be released on March 21. “Live By Night” features an all-star cast, including Oscar winner Ben Affleck (“Argo”), Elle Fanning (“Maleficent”), Brendan Gleeson (“In the Heart of the Sea,” the “Harry Potter” films), Chris Messina (“Argo,” “The Mindy Project”), Sienna Miller (“American Sniper,” “Foxcatcher”), Zoe Saldana (“Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Avatar”) and Oscar winner Chris Cooper (“Adaptation,” “The Town”).
Oscar winner Ben Affleck (“Argo”) directed and stars in the action-packed crime thriller. Affleck also wrote the screenplay, based on the award-winning best-seller by Dennis Lehane. The film is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran, under the Appian Way banner; and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Todd for Pearl Street Films. Serving as executive producers are Chris Brigham, Dennis Lehane and Chay Carter.
“Live By Night” will be available on Blu-ray for $29.98 on March 21, and includes the film in high definition on Blu-ray disc and a digital version of the movie in Digital HD with UltraViolet*. Fans can also own “Live By Night” via purchase from digital retailers beginning March 7.
The Blu-ray disc of “Live By Night” will feature a Dolby Atmos® soundtrack remixed specifically for the home theater environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead. To experience Dolby Atmos at home, a Dolby Atmos enabled AV receiver and additional speakers are required, or a Dolby Atmos enabled sound bar; however, Dolby Atmos soundtracks are also fully backward compatible with traditional audio configurations and legacy home entertainment equipment.
In addition, the Ben Affleck Collection will also be available digitally on March 7 and on Blu-ray on March 21. The collection includes “Live By Night” along with 2010’s “The Town,” directed by Affleck and starring Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner and Blake Lively; 2012’s “Argo,” which won three Academy Awards® (Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Film Editing) and was directed by Affleck and starred Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin and John Goodman; and 2016’s “The Accountant” starring Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K.
