The fan favorite and debut feature film in the ‘Tales from the Crypt Presents’ feature film line (which unfortunately was cut short due to the lack of success with ‘Bordello of Blood’) ‘Demon Knight’ is an incredibly fun horror romp featuring numerous infinitely quotable lines and no shortage of laughs or gore. Directed by Ernest Dickerson (Juice & Bulletproof) and featuring memorable performances from Billy Zane, William Sadler and Thomas Haden Church among others, ‘Tales from the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight’ is nonstop bloody fun that has lost none of its appeal over the years, still holding up in every way; it will leave you simultaneously cringing and giggling until the Crypt Keeper bids you farewell and the end credits roll.

The second and significantly less praised entry released in the ‘Tales from the Crypt Presents’ feature film franchise may not be on the level of its predecessor ‘Demon Knight’, yet ‘Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood’ is still one sufficiently good time and a film I personally continue to thoroughly enjoy in repeat viewings. This time around we follow a wisecracking Private Eye hunting for the troubled lost brother of a woman who has inadvertently become involved with a group of vampires running a bordello in order to acquire food without attracting notice from the public. Directed by Gilbert Adler and with plenty of well known individuals once again comprising the cast including Dennis Miller, Erika Eleniak, Angie Everhart, Chris Sarandon, Corey Feldman and more, ‘Bordello of Blood’ may not contain the magic that made ‘Demon Knight’ so wonderful (the cast and crew even discuss the plagued production in the extras), it’s still one deliciously fun and gory good time.
