Plot Summary:

When Shaggy and Scooby win tickets to WrestleMania, the entire gang travels in the Mystery Machine to WWE City to attend the epic event. However, when a mysterious ghostly bear appears and threatens to ruin the show, Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred work with WWE Superstars to solve the case.

Scooby and the rest of the gang are back, and this time they are on their way to WWE City after Scooby wins a contest secretly hidden in the latest WWE video game. While Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Fred and Daphne all decide to go along on the trip for their own varying reasons, naturally they arrive at their location only to figure out things aren’t what they should be. Soon the gang is enlisted by Mr. McMahon himself in order to help solve the mystery that is plaguing WWE studios, but in order to get to the bottom of this one the gang will have to join forces with John Cena, Sin Cara, Triple H and a number of other well known WWE superstars.

When the idea for the latest entry in the Scooby-Doo original animated films came to my attention, I must admit I was a bit questionable on how well it would work to merge two radically different things such as Scooby-Doo and WWE. The end result was a very pleasant surprise and it’s quite impressive just how well they managed to merge these two worlds together and additionally keep things on a mutual enough tone to make fans of one or the other still able to really enjoy themselves and have a great time, even if that individual may not necessarily be a fan of the other. I would highly recommend fellow Scooby fans make sure and pick up a copy of this one, because even if you aren’t a huge wrestling fan (which I’m not personally a huge fan of myself) I think you are still pretty certain to have a great time. They really did a great job on this one and I’m pretty sure adults and kids alike will definitely want to add this one to their collection in order to enjoy it time and time again; I know I can certainly say I will be doing so.

The Blu-Ray release of ‘Scooby-Doo Wrestlemania Mystery’ features a full 1080p High Definition presentation utilizing the film’s original 1.78:1 Aspect Ratio. The video presentation on this one looks absolutely phenomenal. All of the colors are sharp, detailed, while remaining smooth inside their respective areas and no flaws could be found on my end for the most part throughout. While some mild elements of banding may occasionally present themselves as is common with animation transfers, they are so minimal here that one would have to pay very close attention to every aspect of the picture throughout to even detect them. I’m quite confident the fellow Scooby fans and quality hounds alike will be extremely satisfied with this high definition video presentation.
The Blu-Ray release features a lossless 5.1 channel DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack. These animated Scooby features continue to surprise me with just how discrete and detailed the audio is on the Blu-Ray releases, as well as just how much of the soundtrack so frequently finds its way throughout all five of the channels. The chase and exciting scenes always take full advantage of this lossless multichannel soundtrack and everything sounds accurately placed and pretty great as a whole.
The Blu-Ray release of ‘Scooby-Doo Wrestlemania Mystery contains a couple of fun bonus goodies in addition to the feature film. Included are ‘Behind the scenes with Scooby-Doo and the WWE Gang’ which takes a look behind the scenes and includes interviews with a number of WWE stars and more regarding their involvement and excitement in participating in this groundbreaking collaboration, in addition to a bonus episode of ‘A Pup Named Scooby-Doo’ titled ‘Wrestle Maniacs’ which perfectly fits in with the wrestling them of this new original animated movie.
