Today A&E unleashed the first real look at their upcoming series ‘Bates Motel’ which acts as a modern prequel series to ‘Psycho.’  The video features a 2 and a half minute look at the upcoming series and sort of acts as a trailer and a featurette at the same time.  Continue on after the jump to check out the new video.

I have to admit that after checking out this video I’m beginning to become quite excited about this series.  Immediately below you can check out the video which features footage from the upcoming series as well as a behind the scenes look.

‘Bates Motel’ is currently filming in Vancouver and is intended for an early 2013 premiere on A&E.
