What was once set as a one shot 13 episode series adapting Stephen King’s novel, ‘Under The Dome’ is no longer sticking to that plan (most likely in big part due to the shockingly large summer ratings the series continues to achieve) and has been renewed for a second 13 episode season which is set to air next summer. For fellow fans of the phenomenal novel by Stephen King, we now have our longest look yet at the upcoming 13-part television adaption of ‘Under The Dome.’ The new preview has been titled ‘Watchtower’ (the reason is obvious once you watch the preview) and I must admit this preview gave me chills. The series from King/Spielberg, based on the best selling novel by Stephen King has been picked up by CBS for an initial 13 episode season. While I’m happy to see this series finally get moving, I have to admit that as a huge fan of the book (one of my favorite King novels in fact) that I’m quite disappointed by the fact it will not be airing on Showtime as originally planned. This book was quite disturbing and uncompromisingly brutal and I’m honestly not sure how well this is going to work on network TV, but I guess we shall see.
