It’s that time again, although this year has certainly been drastically unlike any other in recent memory and the world of film has been changed dramatically to accommodate the lack of theaters open. Fortunately, while there may have been significantly fewer big blockbusters than usual seeing a release this year, there was still no shortage of great films released during 2020 in one way or another. As is usually the case, there are many that I haven’t yet had the pleasure to check out, but based on what I’ve seen over the year I’ve once again compiled the ten best films of the year in my opinion. Welcome back to the latest edition of our weekly DEG Watched At Home Top 20 List posts where we keep you updated on all of the most popular movies and TV shows watched at home each week, compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group. The DEG Watched at Home Top 20 list for June 18, 2020 sees ‘The Hunt’ arrive on the list near the top, all the way at third place. The first season of ‘Yellowstone’ also makes an appearance this week at seventeenth place as fans catch up ahead of this Sunday’s Season 3 premiere. =Updated with front and rear artwork for both physical releases= Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced and detailed their releases of the controversial Blumhouse produced comedic thriller ‘The Hunt’ directed by Craig Zobel, written by Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse and starring Betty Gilpin and Hilary Swank. The film is currently available to rent on Digital and will be available to own on Digital beginning May 26, followed by the Blu-ray and DVD releases on June 9, 2020. After pulling the film from its original release last year due to backlash on the content, Universal Pictures and Blumhouse have now set a new release date for the controversial thriller ‘The Hunt’ in addition to releasing a new Trailer and Poster for the film.
