ABC has revealed the fate of numerous series today, officially renewing ‘The Conners’ for a shortened Season 7 which will be the final season, while also renewing multiple unscripted series including ‘American Idol’ and ‘The Bachelor’. After much speculation and new deals having to be finalized, multiple sources have now confirmed that ABC has officially announced that the ‘Roseanne’ revival spinoff series which is tentatively titled ‘The Conners’ has been picked up for a 10-episode order and will have no creative or financial involvement by Roseanne Barr. It’s also been confirmed that the rebooted revival will be filling the vacant slot left on ABC’s Tuesday night lineup this fall following their sudden cancellation of ‘Roseanne’ after her offensive tweets.
