Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and HBO have officially announced that they will be releasing ‘Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection’ on 4K Ultra HD for the first time ever this year. The new 4K Ultra HD collection of the massively popular series will arrive home on November 3, 2020 in a standard 4K Ultra HD collection available everywhere as well as in a Best Buy exclusive release and feature more than fifteen hours of bonus content. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Entertainment have sent over a press release officially announcing and detailing the latest in their lineup of Commemorative Releases for the DC Animated Films. On an exciting note, this newly announced Commemorative Edition release of ‘Justice League: Throne of Atlantis’ will also see the film’s 4K debut. The new edition of the animated movie which also features some brand new extras will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD combo pack, Blu-ray combo pack and Digital beginning November 13, 2018. Lionsgate Home Entertainment has officially announced and detailed their home entertainment releases of the Luc Besson film ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ which will arrive home early on Digital November 7, followed by the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD releases on November 21, 2017. Disney • Pixar has officially announced and detailed their home entertainment releases of ‘Cars 3’ which will mark the first Pixar film to see the 4K Ultra HD treatment. The film will be available to own early on Digital HD & 4K beginning October 24 and followed by the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD releases on November 7, 2017. There appears to be no news on a 3D Blu-ray release at this point and I personally wouldn’t be too surprised to see the 4K Ultra HD releases continue taking the place of the 3D Blu-ray releases.
