Synopsis:
DC’s strangest group of Super Heroes are back again to save the world – that is if they can find a way to grow up…both figuratively and literally. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the DOOM PATROL now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. Here they begin to deal with their feelings of betrayal with Niles Caulder aka The Chief, while confronting their own personal baggage. As each Super Hero faces the challenge of moving beyond trauma and failure, they must come together to protect the newest family member, Niles’ daughter, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world. Welcome to a new edition of our occasional TV News Nibblets posts where we provide some recent television news announcements in one place for easy access. In this edition of ‘TV News Nibblets’ we have news on the renewals of DC’s ‘Doom Patrol’ and ‘Harley Quinn’ both of which will officially move from DC Universe to HBO Max for their third season’s. We also have some disappointing news for fans of the previously renewed Cobie Smulders led ABC series ‘Stumptown’ which ABC has now reversed their decision on and cancelled. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Entertainment have officially announced and detailed their physical releases for the first season of DC Universe’s adult animated ‘Harley Quinn’ series. New episodes from season 2 of the animated show are currently being released each Friday on DC Universe. ‘Harley Quinn: The Complete First Season’ will be available to own on DVD June 2, 2020. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Comics have officially announced and detailed their Blu-ray, DVD and Digital releases of the new DC Universe ‘Swamp Thing’ series. Following the show’s unfortunate cancellation after only one episode being released, the ten episode first season now makes up ‘The Complete Series’ and will arrive home early to own on Digital beginning December 2, 2019, followed by the Blu-ray and DVD releases on February 11, 2020. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, DC Entertainment and Warner Archive Collection have officially announced and detailed their releases of ‘Young Justice: Outsiders – The Complete Third Season’. The new season of the animated DC series resurrected for the DC Universe service will be available to purchase digitally beginning September 24, and will be followed by the DVD release from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on November 26, 2019. A Blu-ray release will also be made available on November 26 from Warner Archive Collection.
