Some pleasantly surprising news today for fans of ‘S.W.A.T.’ as CBS has now renewed the previously cancelled series for Season 8.

The renewal for an eighth season of ‘S.W.A.T.’ was largely unexpected as CBS had previously cancelled the series after six seasons only to reverse the decision and bring it back for Season 7 which was expected to be its last. Fortunately for fans of the series that doesn’t appear to be the case.
