Welcome back to another new entry of our weekly ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list posts where we make sure to keep you updated with all of the most popular movies and television shows watched at home every week, compiled and released by the Digital Entertainment Group like always.
This week’s new ‘DEG Watched at Home Top 20’ list for August 12, 2021 (compiled of data for the week ended 08.07.21) sees ‘A Quiet Place Part II‘ holding on to the top spot for another week while ‘Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard’ once again holds securely in second. The Disney-Pixar film ‘Luca’ arrives on the list this week in third, followed by ‘Wrath of Man‘ which slips one spot into fourth, and the ‘Mortal Kombat’ film moves up a few spots back into fifth this week to round out the top five. A Quiet Place Part II on Top Again, 3 New Titles Join Chart
For the second week in a row, holding the No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively are A Quiet Place II and Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard. New to the list are Pig, a suspenseful drama starring Nicolas Cage, in at slot No. 8 and animated movie Luca at No. 3. True Crime documentary Finding Kendrick Johnson also makes its debut in slot No. 11. Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway dropped four slots to No. 10 while Wrath of Man and Nobody hang on to top ten spots at No. 4 and No. 6. Those Who Wish Me Dead returns to the list at No. 18.
DEG compiles the ‘Watched at Home Top 20’ list with the most widely consumed titles on disc and digital during the previous week (except for outside subscription-based streaming platforms). Assembled with the newest studio and retailer data every seven days, it showcases current consumer enthusiasm for home viewing of the newest film and television releases.
