The long-running CBS comedy series ‘Mom’ now has an end date in sight. The network officially announced today that the currently running eighth season of the show will be its last, with the series finale set to air this May.

The news of an end date for the series comes after Allison Janney became the sole lead this season following the departure of co-lead Anna Farris this summer. The eighth season also marks the end of Janney’s current 2 season contract.

With the news of this season marking the final run for the beloved Chuck Lorre produced sitcom, CBS has additionally revealed that the series finale is slated to air on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in its usual 9:PM time slot.
