Synopsis:

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay finds Amanda Waller’s top secret “Task Force X” – Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Killer Frost, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and Copperhead – on a mission to retrieve a mystical object so powerful that they’re willing to risk their own lives to steal it. But the Suicide Squad isn’t the only group of villains seeking to possess the object. The race is on for the golden prize … and, to stay alive, second place isn’t an option.

Prepare yourself for a DC Animated Movie like you’ve never experienced in ‘Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay’. The blood-soaked story follows everybody’s favorite bad guy roundup with Amanda Waller once again holding the cards and their lives in her hands. When Task Force X is sent on a secret off-the-books mission to retrieve a mystical item that Waller wants at all costs (and wants no one aware of) the current ragtag roster including Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Killer Frost, Copperhead and Bronze Tiger will have to go up against the likes of Vandal Savage, Zoom and other deadly threats and hope they can stay alive long enough to complete the mission and miraculously avoid the wrath of both Waller and their current group of enemies along the way.

[Blu-Ray Review] ‘Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay’: Now Available On 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD & Digital From DC & Warner Bros 3

‘Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay’ is one wildly entertaining, blood drenched ride that never pulls its punches, assaulting the viewer with constant over the top fun that doesn’t disappoint and also provides something truly new and unique to the ongoing DC Animated movie universe that the older fans such as me are likely to thoroughly appreciate. Inspired in many ways by the cult classic Grindhouse genre, this rip roaring and blood splattered good time never hesitates to get nasty in the gore department, nor with its dark sense of humor. Featuring plenty of notable DC baddies on both sides of the fight to please hardcore fans of the expansive universe and some solid animation that looks consistently great, it’s helmed by frequent DC Animated Movie director Sam Liu and features a solid voice cast that includes Christian Slater, Billy Brown, Tara Strong, and Vanessa Williams along with a number more. I strongly encourage the fellow DC fans (and fans of these DC Animated Movie entries in particular) to make a definite point of giving ‘Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay’ a watch at your earliest convenience (if you haven’t already done so), it’s one bloody, fast paced ride that any true DC fan definitely won’t want to miss out on.

Overall, ‘Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay’ is a fast paced, blood soaked good time that takes everyone’s favorite bad guy group and gives them a chance to truly get dirty in this brutal, over the top adventure. It’s a hard hitting, grindhouse inspired animated feature that delivers nonstop mayhem and fun quite unlike anything the DC Animated Movie lineup has done before. ‘Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay’ is highly recommended, especially for fellow DC Comics fans and fans of these DC Universe Movies and/or of Task Force X in particular who should all have a tremendous amount of fun with this bloody, grindhouse inspired ride. It should easily prove well worth the cost of a rental if nothing else for those uninterested in owning the movie, and the hardcore fans and collectors that don’t mind dropping the funds on a blind purchase shouldn’t be disappointed either.
