ABC announced today that it has pulled the plug on freshman comedy series ‘The Mayor’, effectively canceling the show as well as pulling it from the Tuesday night lineup.

The dreaded 9:30/8:30c Tuesday night timeslot vacated by ‘The Mayor’ will be replaced by reruns of ‘Modern Family’ for the time being.
