Synopsis:

Bruce Campbell “gives his greatest and most entertaining performance to date” (Premiere) as an aging and cantankerous “Elvis” in this “zinger-filled crowd-pleaser” (The Hollywood Reporter) from writer-director Don Coscarelli! When mysterious deaths plague a Texas retirement home, it’s up to its most sequined senior citizen to take on a 3,000-year-old Egyptian mummy with a penchant for cowboy boots, bathroom graffiti and sucking the souls from the barely living!

Directed by Don Coscarelli (Phantasm), the wonderful and offbeat horror comedy ‘Bubba Ho-Tep’ finally makes its long awaited Blu-ray debut courtesy of Scream Factory. The film follows an aging Elvis (Campbell) currently living in a senior citizen facility and largely believed to be a mere impersonator who is confronted with a terrifying evil plaguing the home. Now, in order to stop this evil entity roaming the halls of the facility before it kills anyone else, Elvis must team up with a man claiming to be JFK (Davis) in order to uncover the truth about the mummified monster and hopefully stop its menace once and for all. ‘Bubba Ho-Tep’ is a smart, snarky, hilarious and quite brilliant piece of filmmaking. Filled with some terror, a touch of bloody mayhem, along with plenty of laughs and outstanding performances from both Campbell and Davis; in short, ‘Bubba Ho-Tep’ is a horror comedy worthy of a (the) King.
