In a somewhat surprising bit of news, NBC has renewed ‘Community’ for a fifth season.

The announcement* of ‘Community’s’ fifth season renewal joins previous announcements by NBC that ‘Parks & Recreation’ has been renewed, though ‘Guys With Kids’ ‘Whitney’ ‘1600 Penn’ ‘Up All Night’ & ‘Go On’ have been cancelled.

UPDATE:
The season order has just been announced. It appears the fifth season order will be mirroring the fourth with only 13 episodes ordered.
