We have learned that The CW has just announced that they have ordered ‘The Vampire Diaries’ spinoff series ‘The Originals’ to series, in addition to announcing the renewals of ‘Hart of Dixie’ & ‘Beauty & The Beast’ for the 2013-14 season.

As many of you may know, the backdoor pilot for ‘The Originals’ aired on The CW last night, and it looks like they have decided to move forward with it as a series. This announcement, as well as the renewals of ‘Hart of Dixie’ & ‘Beauty & The Beast’ come to us thanks to Deadline.

No word yet on where ‘The Originals’ will fit into the lineup, but it would seem a safe assumption that it would air alongside ‘The Vampire Diaries’ on Thursday nights.  No confirmation has been given at this time though.
